Saturday 28 September 2013 Swindon to Great Malvern, England

After two amazing days staying in Swindon, Troy and I went North on the first leg of our journey to Scotland. We went via train to Gloucester and visited Great Malvern from there.

This is the Swindon platform, and in one spot I heard this amazing double announcement. I whipped out the recorder!

We caught the train to Gloucester, found our hotel and checked in, and then went by train round-trip to Great Malvern.

What a beautiful town! This is the classic train station where we arrived.

Walking around the town on the edge of the beautiful Malvern Hills, I saw some of the loveliest gardens I’ve seen yet. This amazing rose stopped me in my tracks. I photographed it, and saw the house’s curtains move. A lady with a bright smile opened the window, and I told her how exquisite it was. She seemed delighted!

The prize of the day was a beautiful classic Morgan automobile parked outside the Morgan Pub. Great Malvern is still the home of Morgan Automobiles, where they are still hand-built.

I posed the classic dog with the classic car. And then we returned to Gloucester ready to walk in the Cotswalds City of Cathedrals….
